Sudden onset of Pain and stiffness in shoulder which is severe at night in the initial stages and a limited range of shoulder lateral roation motion i.e. difficutly in taking the hand behind the back , and abduction ie. Raising the arm upwards from sides .

The pain then becomes continues throughout the day with all movements at shoulder joint been restricted. Physiotherapy treatment if started early in the cases of frozen shoulder helps enormously in managing the pain and to reduced the extent to which the shoulder motion is restricted .
